My Pause series gives us a chance to stop and appreciate the beauty of life amid a chaotic world. In my paintings Indefinite, Pause and Stop I play with the juxtaposition of digital icons over floral imagery in what I call my Stop to Smell the Roses paintings. Tomorrow is uncertain and not guaranteed and this work acts as a reminder to look past the screen of our phones and to see the beauty that surrounds us.
