SUMMARY:ART PANEL DISCUSSION  — “The Pearly Gates Collection”
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA social & cash bar will open beforehand at 3:30pm and conclude the event.\n\n\nThis special panel discussion will feature leading artists and curators as part of the Yucca Valley Art Gallery’s new exhibition\, the “Pearly Gates Collection” — celebrating renowned curator Walter Hopps and 50 renowned artists and writers that were touched by his genius. A bag of European bank notes and coins once owned by Hopps were given to YVArts Curator Michael McCall by Hopps’ widow one evening after a dinner. The idea congealed a month later into a conceptual project known as HOPPSMONEY$\, where select artists were asked to participate with the idea that they were trading a piece of their work for one of the bank notes once owned by Walter Hopps. This special event will feature panelists from the collection. A cash bar & social will open beforehand at 3:30pm and conclude the event. \nFree for Arts Center Founding Members and free or discounted tickets for sustaining members depending on membership level. \n\n\n$15 Admission | FREE for Members\n\nBUY TICKETS\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
