This special panel discussion will feature famed neon artists Kadir Lopez Nieves of Cuba and Michael Flechtner of Los Angeles. Nieves—who has garnered critical acclaim and been named one of the top 10 artists to watch by The Huffington Post—will be flying in from Cuba for the opening of YVArts’ HAVANA NOIR Exhibition and will join Flechtner—renowned neon artist and creator of the USPS “Celebrate” stamp—as they discuss their installation of images, neon, and other visual and narrative clues that interpret the midcentury urban fabric of the city of Havana. This special event will feature panelists from the collection. A cash bar & social will open beforehand at 3:30pm and conclude the event.

Free for Arts Center Founding Members and free or discounted tickets for sustaining members depending on membership level.
